Admissions

We are very happy to show any potential new parents and children around school. Please contact the school office on 0161 483 2188 to arrange a visit.

All applications for places at Torkington Primary School (Nursery, Reception and in year transfers) must be completed online using the Stockport Council Admissions Website. Please read the online guidance carefully and ensure that applications are made before the appropriate deadline.

We offer 30 hours free Nursery provision, subject to eligibility. Details regarding this can be found in the 'Our School' section of this website.

Please note, if children are already 3 years of age, we may be able to offer Nursery places for January or Easter admission. This is dependent on the number of children attending our Nursery but if you are interested please indicate this on your online application. All children joining our Nursery are invited for a trial session before they start.

In the summer term we hold meetings for new Reception and new Nursery parents. We will write to all parents of the children who have been allocated places at Torkington inviting them to attend.
