Amazing Achievement

This week the school received a wonderful letter from Damian Hinds, The Minster for Schools at the Department For Education, congratulating Torkington Primary School on the very high standard of achievement our Key Stage 2 children received in their assessments last year, for reading, writing and mathematics. 94% of children exceeded the expected standard. This means that for achievement in reading, writing and mathematics, Torkington Primary school is in the top 1% of primary schools in the country.
Well Done to everyone involved in helping achieve this! It is a fantastic team effort; I am sure you are as proud as we are to be part of our school community.
